The Witcher is coming to Netflix in 2019. This tv series is based on the popular video game of the same name. People are excited about this series, not only because it is a video-game adopted show but also the fact that it is named as the “Next Games of Thrones.” So, if fans have attached high expectations from the show they are not wrong. It’s time to know more about its director, cast, release date, and other info.

According to a recent report, Netflix has picked DareDevil Director for the finale episode of The Witcher Season 1.  Lauren Schmidt Hissrich creates this live-action fantasy drama. This creator has already delivered some top tv shows such as Punisher, Daredevil, and The Defenders. Production for The Witcher TV Series started in October 2018.

Who is Directing Fantasy TV show?

Players of The Witcher are quite excited about the tv show. They want to see whether Geralt and Ciri look the same as they used to see them in the game.

The Witcher Season 1 will have eight episodes. Alik Sakharov director of Games of Thrones is going to direct first four episodes; the next two episodes are handled by Charlotte Brandstorm who is a famous director of Outlander.  Alex Garcia Lopez is the director of Daredevil, and now he got the charge of directing the two finale episodes of The Witcher.

Different directors for one single tv show is not a new thing but what is new is to see that we would be able to see some masterpieces for renowned directors.

Release Date

The Witcher Season 1 will be released in late 2019 on Netflix.

The first season of the show will have eight episodes. Four of these episodes will be directed by Alik Sakharov (Game of Thrones), two will be done by Charlotte Brändström (Outlander) and another two directed by Alex Garcia Lopez (Daredevil).
