It looks like nothing Taylor doesn’t want to calm down when it comes to Equality Act petition for LGBTQ rights. Her VMA acceptance speech was a kind of call to action for White House on the Equality Act.

For video of the year,  “You Need to Calm Down” Singer forget to calm down her own self and got political a bit. She won this video of the year 2019 MTV Music Awards for the pride-theme anthem. She call out the Trump’s Administration who didn’t acknowledged Equality Act petition. At the end of her video, you can see a featured call to sign petition.

“It now has half a million signatures, which is five times the amount that it would need to warrant a response from the White House,” Swift said.

She signed that petition herself alongside  many other people who are looking for equal rights for everyone in America. Even her music video “You need to Calm Down” highlight this community.

“In this video several points were made, so you voting for this video means that you want a world, where we’re all treated equally under the law,” she said.

Swift wasn’t the only one who talk about political act and actions on the VMA awards. Two other noteworthy performers were French Montana and Alison Brie who came up with Pro-immigration stance while they reached stage for getting their awards.

Now we are waiting for White house response for the Swift’s comments.
