After living 21 years together, it has been confirmed that actor and his wife, Grace Hightower have separated their ways. He is openly confessing their separation.

De Niro said that “Grace and I have two beautiful children together. We are entering a period of transition in our relationship which is a difficult but constructive process. I honor Grace as a wonderful mother and ask for privacy and respect from all as we proceed to develop our roles as partners in parenting.”

Despite of being separated from one another, they are trying to be good parents. The actor admitted and praised his wife as a good mother. Also, expects her to be nicer even after their separation.

In such kinds of cases, children get affected the most. The loss is usually bear by the children. However, hopefully, the ex-couple manage not to make their children suffer.

De Niro is 75 years old while Hightower as 63. Both of them met one another in the year 1987. After 10 years they decided to tie up a knot. Even though, the year 1999 resulted in their split. However, the couple never divorced.

Every time they ended up with a path up and used to renew their vows as they did in 2004. They have two adorable kids Elliot their son is 20 years old while Helen daughter as 6.

Daughter is too small whereas son is even though young but with a comparison to Helen, is mature.

Furthermore, De Niro from his first wife also has 42 years old son named Raphael. Also, Diahnne Abbott, and twin sons Julian and Aaron and Julian, 23, from his prior girlfriend, Toukie Smith.

Might be possible, his relationship with his girlfriend would be one of the reasons behind their separation. Or Maybe both of them have conflicts on something else that ended up provoking them to such an intense reaction.

Anyhow, they ended up at a practical note where they understand that they have different views. But they decided not to make their children suffer.

And both of them will contribute in bringing up the children as their optimum responsibility.
