Black Friday 2018: Costco, Home Depot, and dozens of other retailers are bucking a major #BlackFriday trend

The Black Friday sales 2018, pre-sales is bucked by many stores including Home Depot, Costco and others. The sales start even earlier. Since, the ultimate goal of retailers is to maximize their sales on the busiest shopping day of the whole year.

Looking at the sales trends of last years, even earlier to Thanksgiving Day. Many stores opened their doors. It was practised by Sears in 2010, Walmart in 2011, and Target in the year 2012.

However, a twist has been taken by retailers by bucking the trend of opening stores earlier.

As per the data collected by BestBlackFriday, the list of around 50 retailers is planning to keep their stores shut this year on Thanksgiving day. They gave the reason that they want their employees to spend quality time with their family as well.
